2018 BMW R1200GS Adventure Arrives in UK Dealers
The 2018 R1200GS Adventure has arrived, bringing with it all the extra updates from the 2017 R1200GS to conform to Euro4 regulations. But BMW Motorrad fans will know that the real addition is the host of optional extras in the Adventure’s repertoire, as well as the Rallye version.
BMW tend to sell most of their bikes with their add-ons, of which the list is extensive. most important amongst those upgrades are the damping and self-levelling Dynamic ESA along with Shift Assistance Pro and the enhanced riding mode plug-in that delivers additional ‘Pro’ modes to the Dynamic and Enduro settings.
The big 2018 must have is BMW's ‘Connectivity’ – replacing the current standard analogue/LCD clocks with a fully connected TFT dash at a cost of £595.
The Emergency Call system (£295 extra) is now also available on the Adventure. For true globe trotters this could be a life saving addition.
Finally there's all the new colours and graphics. There are five mode options available, all of which can be further customised to owner preference.
The base model GSA starts at £13,400 while the range-topping variant is the Rallye TE, at £17,670.
