Kawasaki Z900RS Gets The Cafe Treatment
As rumours would have it, Kawasaki have shown off their Cafe Racer version of the 1970s Z1-inspired Z900RS.
The changes appear to be pretty much cosmetic with new colours, lowered handlebars and a café racer fairing. There's also a sportier-looking seat with a hump at the back.
The Z900 RS, based on the Z900, makes 111hp and 53.5lbft from a 948cc in-line-four.
Kawasaki Motors Europe Director Morihiro Ikoma said: “We were delighted at the worldwide acclaim for the Z900RS when it was launched just a few weeks ago”, commented Director of. “The Z900RS CAFE widens the appeal of the new RS offering and personifies the True Spirit model tag line.
Kawasaki took its time to enter the modern classic scene but the wait was worthwhile. The Z900RS CAFE and Z900RS have a unique heritage and an authenticity that sets them apart as the genuine article.”
